 The importance of studying Media studies is to understand what is occurring  in the world around us and how consumption effects us as people. A personal example of my media consumption habits are watching Tiktok, going to the movie theaters, and watching the news with my grandfather. My favorite media product is music. I listen to music to enlighten my mood and to be entertained by the beat and lyrics of songs. Most teenagers around my age  listen to music to also uplift their mood and even make new friends. Those who listen to similar music or artists share a connection and create bonds through having similarities in music taste. Three things that I find interesting about Media Studies is the teaching of how consuming media affects people, how it opens our mind to consuming other media products, and how it teaches the difference between media products, conventions, and media forms.

The media product I will be documenting is an opening  film. The opening film's target audience are teenagers. The purpose of the opening film is to inform and entertain  the audience. The theme of the film is horror, I need to learn how horror movies scare  the audience and how they represent thriller. My film will be ready to be released before Christmas break.

There are multiple strategies I need to create my film they are editing, how to pick a setting, how to work a camera, and what lighting to use. I will be persistent in blogging  frequently. I will have more than 50 blogs. I will do all these steps and not procrastinate to have a high score in Component 1 blog.

 Camera Composition is the way elements of scene are arranged in the camera frame. Camera composition has the following elements: rule of thirds shot, symmetry balance shot, asymmetry balance shot , point shot, leading lines shot, shape shot, deep focus shot, and shallow focus shot. Rule of thirds shot is a guideline  that places your subject in the left or right thirds in the in camera framing. Symmetry balance shot is when elements are on both sides of a center line in equal weight. Asymmetry balance shot is when the shot has unequal visual weight but the frame has a sense of balance. Point shot shows where a character is looking at. Leading lines shot is where natural or human made lines lead the audience's eyes through a photograph to the subject of an image.
