Storyboard Worksheet #1: Shot sizes and Camera Angles; Camera Angles
Camera angles are the key concept of this lesson. Camera angles marks the specific location at which the movie camera is placed to take a shot. Key camera angles are: high angle, low angle, overhead shot, dutch angle, eye level angle, hip level, knee level, and ground level.
This is a storyboard worksheet depicting the seven camera angles :high angle, low angle, overhead shot, dutch angle, eye level angle, hip level, knee level, and ground level. . My group was assigned to create individual stories that illustrate the camera angles and their action lines. In each seven of the camera angles my group came up with the story, documented the action lines, then drew the story while illustrating the shot sizes.
This assignment helped me learned what the eight shot sizes look like and how to relates them and express them in real life stories. The assignment made me realize the effect that camera angles have on the emotion and message of the scene. The assignment is necessary to learn the meanings of films.
