Preliminary Exercise 6: Digital Camerawork Organizer: Camera Composition

Camera Composition refers to the way elements of a scene are arranged in a camera frame. The eight shots include: Rule of thirds, symmetry balance, asymmetry balance, point, shape, leading lines,  shallow, and deep focus shot.

Shape Shot are shots where shapes are present its purpose is to catch the viewers eye. This example of shat shot is a bench that shows a squiggly shaped line going through the rectangles of the seat, Point shot is looking into the characters perspective the purpose is to cast  an illusion of access to a character's inner life. In this example of point shot Mel is focused in on with her being in the middle and a crowd standing around her looking at her while she stares around looking for something.

My teacher assigned us in groups to create a powerpoint that includes shot camera composition and its various examples. In this assignment I worked with Melanie A, Valentina P, Anjuel C. I worked inserted the pictures that we took onto the powerpoint. Valentia P designed the slides of the powerpoint. Anjuel C put the information such as the definition, purpose, and action lines. Working on this powerpoint I learned the definition and purposes of camera composition.
