Preliminary Exercise 6: Digital Camerawork Organizer:Camera Framing

Camera Framing refers to how you place or position subjects  and objects in shots. The eight camera framing shots consist of: One, two, three, four, crowd, over the shoulder, point of view, and insert shot.

Over the shoulder shot is a shot is when  the camera is placed just behind  an off screen  actor so that their shoulder  is in the frame while  you capture the on screen actor's coverage. Its purpose is to orient the viewer and show a conversation. In this example of over the shoulder shot Mel and Anj are conversing this is shown by the camera being placed at anj's shoulder and showing Mel's full face  looking and smiling at him. Point of view shot shows what a character is looking at and  its purpose is to accentuate the subject perspective. In this example of pov it shows melanies hands on the camera indicating that she is going fall by her shocked face.

My teacher assigned us in groups to create a powerpoint that includes shot camera framing and its various examples. In this assignment I worked with Melanie A, Valentina P, Anjuel C. I worked inserted the pictures that we took onto the powerpoint. Valentia P designed the slides of the powerpoint. Anjuel C put the information such as the definition, purpose, and action lines. Working on this powerpoint I learned the definition and purposes of camera framing.
